Why make all this content free?
Although I (Dominic White) have technically created all the content on this website by sitting down and typing it out and it can be regarded as original content – I honestly do not know where it comes from. Like any creative writing exercise – words and images appear in my head and I type them out.
I don’t know every word of an article before I type it. I have an idea and start typing and the words flow, which inspire other words and ideas. Where do they come from? They certainly don’t all come from the “conscious” Dominic White and so how can I claim to own them? I’m often left in a state of wonder when I re-read what I have written. I know I typed it out, but it felt more like it was flowing through me, rather than originating with me.
This is what I love about the creative process. The creator doesn’t know what they are creating until it’s done and then they get to be the first person on earth to experience the creation. It’s an exhilarating and humbling experience.
How can I use the content on this website?
You can use it any way you choose. It’s entirely up to you. You can use it as is, you can change parts of it. You can even copy what is here and claim it as your own – I really don’t have any claim, ownership or opinion on what happens to it.
Do I have to attribute you as the original owner?
If you want to, but it’s really unnecessary.
